Stokes Wins WNBA Championship with Las Vegas Aces

UNCASVILLE, Conn. – UConn women's basketball alumna Kiah Stokes won the 2022 WNBA Championship with the Las Vegas Aces on Sunday evening.
This is the first WNBA Championship for Stokes. She won the 2013, '14 and '15 NCAA Championships at UConn.
The Aces posted a 26-10 record in the regular season and earned the No. 1 seed in the WNBA Playoffs. Las Vegas went 8-2 in the playoffs. The Aces beat the Connecticut Sun, 78-71, in the final game of the season to clinch the title.
Stokes started all 10 of the Aces' postseason games. She averaged 7.2 rebounds and 3.7 points per game in the WNBA Playoffs.
Nineteen former Huskies have won a total of 33 WNBA Championships.
