UConn Nation Sets Another Giving Tuesday Fundraising Record

STORRS, Conn. – For a fourth-consecutive year, the UConn Athletics Giving Tuesday enjoyed a record setting campaign, thanks to over 1,600 supporters across the globe who stepped up in more ways than one.
With our biggest ever goal of raising $300,000 from 1,250 donors, UConn Nation made it possible to surpass the target with a final total of over $323,000 from more than 1,600 donors. With your financial support, our Husky student-athletes will continue to perform, grow, and succeed at the highest level.
"On behalf of UConn athletics, I am grateful to our donors for the outpouring of support to our programs on Giving Tuesday," said Director of Athletics David Benedict. "Another record setting year continues to show that UConn Nation is committed to our goal of competitive excellence and the overall success of our student-athletes. Our athletic department is thankful for our loyal donors on Giving Tuesday and throughout the year."

Giving Tuesday Snapshots
- Women's Lacrosse not only reached the highest sport-specific Giving Tuesday dollars raised to date, but also doubled their number of donors from 2022.
- Volleyball brought in 4x the amount of dollars raised compared to 2022 Giving Tuesday as well as 4x the number of donors this year.
- Other teams who surpassed their goals: Baseball, Football, Golf, Men's Ice Hockey, Lacrosse, Tennis, Men's Track and Field, Women's Track and Field and Cross Country, Volleyball.
- Donors came from across the country and world, with 4 out of the 7 continents covered with those who gave back.
