Huskies Add Two More to NSD24 List

STORRS, Conn. - The UConn football team announced the addition of two more transfersย who have signed a grant-in-aid with the Huskies to bring their Natinal Signing Day total to 18 additions to next year's roster.ย The Huskies are bolstering their offense with the additions of running back Jayden Brown from Gardner-Webb and offensvie lineman Wes Hoeh from Syracuse.
Jayden "Mel" Brown
Transfer โ Running Back โ 5-8 / 173 โ Stone Mountain, Ga. / Miller Grove HS / Gardner-Webb
PRIOR TO UCONN: ย Joins UConn from Gardner Webb University and will have two years of eligibility remainingโฆ Appeared in 19 total games rushing for 870 yards on 160 attempts with 10 touchdownsโฆ A receiving threat as well, Brown caught 17 passes for 260 yards and 4 touchdowns at Gardner Webbโฆ Prior to his time at Gardner Webb, Brown finished his high school career playing for head coach Melvin Brown ad Miller Grove High School in Miller Grove, Georgiaโฆ Honored as a first team All-Region selection in 2021, Brown led DeKalb County with 1,714 rushing yards on 182 carries.ย
Wes Hoeh

PRIOR TO UCONN: Joins UConn from Syracuse and will have two years of eligibility remainingโฆ As a freshman appeared in 12 games including three starts as a fullbackโฆ Was a contributor on the offensive line that paved the way for running back Sean Tucker to rush for 1,000 yards in a seasonโฆ Honored as ACC-Honor Roll and the University's Athletic Director's Honor Rollโฆ Prior to his time at Syracuse, Hoeh finished his high school career playing for head coach Chad Hetlet at Glenbard West High Schoolโฆ In his high school career, Hoeh allowed just one sackโฆ Honored as All-State, All-Area and All-Conference.
