Christian Haynes Named College Football Network All-American

STORRS, Conn. - UConn r-senior Christian Haynes picked-up his first postseason honor being named to the 2023 College Football Network All-American team announced on Monday. Haynes earned a spot on the third team All-American offense after his final season in Storrs.
The Bowie, Md. native was named an Associated Press Mid-Season All-American (2nd team) back in October and has accepted an invitation to play in the 2024 Reese's Senior Bowl next month . Haynes was also invited to play in the 2024 East-West Shrine Bowl. He finished the season starting all 12 games for the Huskies and anchored a UConn offensive line that allowed just 12 sacks on the season (1.0 pg), ranking 9th in FBS among the nation's leaders. Â
Haynes finished his UConn career making 49 straight starts along the offensive line. He was was named an AP and Sporting News All-American after the 2022 season.
