UConn Football Announces Date Change vs. NC State

STORRS, Conn. – The UConn football team announced a date change to the 2023 schedule on Thursday afternoon.
Working with CBS Sports Network, UConn will move their 2023 season-opener against NC State from Saturday, September 2 to Thursday night, August 31 at Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field. Gametime for opening kickoff to be announced at a later date.
The 2023 season opener will kick-off another season of UConn football on CBS Sports Network as the partnership enters its third season.
UConn head coach Jim Mora is set for #TheReload entering his second season on the sidelines. Guiding the Huskies to one of the biggest turnarounds in college football during his first season last fall, Mora's Huskies returned to a bowl game for the first time since 2015.
The Huskies were a force to reckon with at home last season under Mora, finishing with a 5-1 record at Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field.
After kicking off the new season against the Wolfpack the remainder of the Huskies home schedule will feature match-ups against FIU (Sept. 16), Duke (Sept. 23), Utah State (Sept. 30), USF (Oct. 21) and Sacred Heart (Nov. 18) in East Hartford this fall. The 2023 football season will mark the third year in a multi-year partnership with CBS Sports to again televise UConn home games on CBS Sports Network. Further TV information and kick-off times will be announced in the coming weeks.
The University of Connecticut and CBS Sports announced a multi-year television partnership for UConn's home football games. CBS Sports Network will televise all home games through the 2023 season. The agreement between CBS Sports and UConn Athletics was facilitated by Learfield IMG College, the university's athletics multimedia rights holder. UConn Sports Properties is the Learfield IMG College Hartford-based team that exclusively represents the Huskies and works alongside Benedict on all aspects of the rights relationship. CBS Sports Network, the 24-hour home of CBS Sports, is available through all major cable, satellite and telco distributors as well as via OTT streaming service providers YouTube TV, fuboTV, DirecTV and Hulu. Additionally, a live CBS Sports Network stream is available through CBSSports.com and the CBS Sports App with select providers.
