UConn Adds Tim DiLeo As Assistant AD For Sports Nutrition

Timothy DiLeo joins the University of Connecticut as the Assistant Director of Athletics for Sports Nutrition. DiLeo arrives in Storrs after serving as the Sports Performance Dietician at Providence College.
During his time at Providence, DiLeo conducted performance nutrition needs assessments for all of the schools' 19 Division I athletics teams. He made an immediate impact at providence, establishing sport nutrition pillars within the athletics department and applying those pillars to each team (clinical, food service, nutrition education, applied nutrition science). In addition, DiLeo developed nutrition education resources as well as social media content for athletes across all sports.
Prior to DiLeo's time at Providence College, he was the Director of Football Sports Nutrition at the University of Colorado – Boulder, and the Director of Sports Nutrition at Baylor University. While at Colorado, DiLeo managed all aspects of the football team's nutrition services. DiLeo conducted sweat analysis and hydration testing throughout the season and implemented team wide, evidence-based nutrition interventions and supplementation protocols.
While at Baylor, DiLeo was tasked with managing all aspects of nutrition services for the Men's Basketball and Football programs. He developed a comprehensive annual nutrition education curriculum for all student athletes.
DiLeo is a Franklin, Mass. native. He graduated from Springfield College in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science, and Applied Exercise science. DiLeo then completed his master's degree in 2015 having graduated from Framingham State University with a Master of Science, Human Nutrition and Food Science. DiLeo currently lives in Bellingham, MA with his wife Lindsay.
DiLeo is a Licensed Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, , Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics and is ISAK Certified Level 1 Anthropometrist.Â
