Cheli, Ziebell Named to USA Roster for Nike Hoop Summit

STORRS, Conn. – UConn women's basketball signees Morgan Cheli and Allie Ziebell were selected to the USA roster for the 2024 Nike Hoop Summit.
The second women's Nike Hoop Summit will take place Saturday, April 13, in the Moda Center in Portland, Ore. It will air on FS1 at 7:30 p.m. ET.
A 6-foot-2 guard from Los Altos, Calif., Cheli is the No. 18-ranked recruit in the 2024 class. She won gold with the U17 National Team at the 2022 FIBA U17 Women's World Cup. Cheli is averaging 15 points, 7.3 assists, 5.3 rebounds and 3.1 steals per game in her senior season. She led Archbishop Mitty to the 2023 Nike Tournament of Champions title, which helped the program move to the No. 1-ranked high school in the nation.
A 6-foot guard from Neenah, Wis., Ziebell is the No. 4-ranked recruit in the 2024 class. She won gold with the U19 National Team at the 2023 FIBA U19 Women's World Cup. Ziebell was the 2023 Gatorade Wisconsin Player of the Year. In November, she scored her 2,000th career point at Neenah High School and became the program's all-time leading scorer.
UConn freshman Ashlynn Shade was a member of the inaugural Nike Hoop Summit team in 2023.
