SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – UConn women's basketball graduate student Azzi Fudd was named a top-10 candidate for the 2026 Ann Meyers Drysdale Award, as announced by the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame and Women's Basketball Coaches Association Tuesday.
The Ann Meyers Drysdale Award, in its ninth year, honors the top shooting guard in women's NCAA Division I college basketball. It is named after the Class of 1993 Hall of Famer, the first player, regardless of gender, to be chosen for an All-America Team in four consecutive college seasons.
Fans are encouraged to participate in Fan Voting in both of the remaining rounds starting on Friday, February 6, on hoophallawards.com. The Fan Vote will count as one committee vote during the finalist selection process.
Fudd is averaging 17.1 points per game this season while shooting 48.7%, 44.1% from three and 97.1% from the free throw line.
Fudd's points per game, field goal percentage and three-point percentage are all career highs. She's already set career highs this season in assists (70) and steals (54).
Against top-25 opponents this season, Fudd is averaging 24.4 points per game on a .500/.468/1.000 shooting split.
In UConn's win over Tennessee on Feb. 1, Fudd reached No. 10 in the UConn record book for career three-point field goals made (242).
UConn alumna Christyn Williams won the Drysdale Award in 2022.
