Dylan Mello joined the UConn athletic training staff in October 2012. His current sport responsibilities are field hockey and lacrosse. He had previously worked with the UConn women's ice hockey and men/women tennis teams.
Mello received his B.S. degree in athletic training from Sacred Heart University in 2009. He then completed a year-long certified internship position at Villanova University. Mello worked directly with the Villanova football team which won the 2009 National Championship as well as the Wildcat's baseball team.
He received his M.S. degree from the University of South Florida in 2012 and worked for two years with the USF softball team, who advanced to the College World Series. While at USF, Mello was also a teaching assistant for two years. Following USF, he worked at Disney in Florida prior to coming to the University of Connecticut.
Originally from Fairhaven, Mass., he lives in Manchester with his wife, Alejandra.
