Jeff Prough joined the UConn Foundation and UConn athletics development staff as the associate director of major gifts for athletics in December 2017.
In this role he focuses on the development of major gift strategies for the Division of Athletics. He is responsible for the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of donors capable of making a major gift or multi-year pledge to UConn Athletics. Prior to UConn, Prough served as the assistant director of development, Athletics at Fordham University from 2015 - 2017. In addition to his primary responsibilities, he was a member of Fordham’s Development and University Relations Service Committee.
Upon graduating from Brown University, Prough played four years of professional hockey in the minor league systems for both the New Jersey Devils and New York Rangers from 2008 – 2012. He then spent two years working as the director of business development for Premier Sports Advisors from 2013 – 2015 before being hired at Fordham University.
A native of Dearborn Heights, Mich., Prough is a 2008 graduate of Brown University. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in international relations and was a four-year letter winner for the hockey program.
