Mike Crisipino

5-time Emmy winning broadcaster and Connecticut native Mike Crispino is the new play by play voice of football and men’s basketball for the UConn IMG sports network on 97.9 ESPN in Hartford, an iHeartRadio station.

Recently, Mike is best known for his work on MSG Network as the radio voice for the NBA’s New York Knicks. While covering the NHL Rangers, NFL Giants, and college football.

Mike began his career on Connecticut television, where he was sports director. Followed by a stint in Boston, where he was a Sports Anchor and TV play by play voice of the Boston Celtics.

Among his many play-by-play assignments during his career include work for the Olympics on NBC, U.S. Open Tennis, the golf channel, ShowTime boxing, ESPN, the Big Ten and PAC 12 networks.

Bob Joyce

Bob Joyce has been the voice of UConn women’s basketball since 2006 as well as the pregame, halftime and postgame show host for UConn football since 2005 on WTIC. Joyce will continue his run covering UConn sports as iHEARTMEDIA announced the broadcaster will be joining ESPN 97-9 as Executive Producer of UConn Athletics content.

Under his new title with ESPN 97-9, Joyce will continue to call UConn women’s basketball games and host the pre, post and halftime shows for Huskies football. Joyce will report to Program Director Ben Darnell and contribute to the station’s popular Rob Dibble Show.

Wayne Norman

Longtime Connecticut Radio Broadcaster, Wayne Norman, will be back for his 37th UConn Season as the color analyst for UConn Football and Men’s Basketball on the UConn IMG Sports Network on 97-9 ESPN Hartford, an iHeartRadio station.

Wayne is a UConn alumnus and a fixture on the UConn Athletics season covering the Huskies since the 1969-70 season.

He’s called all four NCAA Division III Baseball National Championships and is a member of the inaugural class of the Willi-Mac Softball Hall of Fame.

Debbie Fiske

Former UConn Women’s Basketball point guard Debbie Fiske (class of 92’) returns for her 7th season as Bob Joyce’s broadcast partner and color analyst on the UConn IMG Sports Network on 97-9 ESPN Hartford, an iHeartRadio station.

Debbie, a native of Red Lion, PA, played at UConn from 1988 to 1992 when Geno Auriemma was turning the Women’s Basketball program into a contender in the big east conference.

During her tenure in Storrs, Fiske was a part of the first three big east regular season titles, the first two big east tournament titles, and UConn’s first Final Four team in 1991. In her 4-year career, she left Storrs as the programs’ all-time steals leader with 275. She remains in the top 10 in that department. While averaging 3.4 points and 3.3 assists per game.

Debbie is currently in the athletic director at the Kingswood-Oxford School in West Hartford, where she begins her fourth season this fall.

Adam Giardino

Franklin, Mass. Native and UConn Graduate (2011) Adam Giardino joins the UConn IMG Sports Network on 97-9 ESPN Hartford, an iHeartRadio station, as the New Sideline Reporter for UConn Football this fall. In addition, Adam will be involved with the radio broadcasts of the Hockey Huskies with Bob Joyce this winter as Color Analyst.

Adam graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts from UConn in 2011 with majors in Communications and Journalism.
