UConn Credential Terms of Use
This working credential is issued by UCONN for the sole purpose of providing stadium or arena access for an authorized and legitimate working function at a UCONN game or event. This credential is non-transferable and may be revoked at the discretion of UCONN. Any unauthorized use of this credential subjects the individual to which this credential has been issued and any unauthorized holder to ejection from the stadium or arena, revocation of credentials for future UCONN games, and any other appropriate legal action. All persons must display proper credentials for stadium/arena sideline or playing surface access.
Subject to all restrictions contained herein, this credential (if issued for a media function) authorizes access to the stadium or arena by an accredited agency (“agency”) or its individual representatives for the limited purpose of news and editorial coverage of the game. This function shall include the conducting of interviews, participation, or attendance at press conferences as well as creation of descriptions, accounts, photographs, films, audio or video recordings or drawings of or relating to the game (collectively, “agency materials”) by the representative of the agency. Any other use or attempted use of agency materials including any distribution to third parties other than the ultimate consumers (e.g., newspaper readers) at any time and for any purpose is expressly prohibited unless the agency has obtained the advance permission from UCONN for such other use. Except for agency materials created as described herein with relation to the game or event, the use of the UCONN or University of Connecticut name or any registered trademarks, service marks, logos, or symbols of UCONN is prohibited unless the advance written permission is secured from the appropriate UCONN official.
The agency and representative agree that any agency materials in the forms of film, video, or digital video recordings (“video materials”) may only be used in connection with a regularly scheduled television newscast aired by the agency following the game, and further agree that the use of video materials from the game in such newscast shall not exceed (3) minutes in length. Representatives shall not transmit or display any video, audio, pictures, photographs or other non-text-based accounts or descriptions of the game in any media while the game or the live network presentation of the game is in progress except with the advance written permission from UCONN.
The agency (and the representative) or any other authorized user of a credential assume all risk incident to or in relation to access to the stadium or arena and all such activities conducted in the stadium or arena premises and hereby release UCONN and its employees, affiliates, and agents from any and all liability arising in connection with attending the game and/or creating and using agency materials. The agency or any authorized user of a credential agrees to indemnify and hold harmless UCONN and its employees, affiliates, and agents from and against all liability, loss, damage or expense arising in connection with access to the stadium or arena or any activity in connection with attendance at any game or event including incidental contact from players or thrown or projected objects from the playing surface. Acceptance of the credential constitutes agreement by the agency and the representative and any other authorized user of a credential to abide by the foregoing conditions.
No children (age 16 and under) are allowed on the sidelines, field, court or playing surface of any stadium or arena unless with the advance permission of the appropriate UCONN official. No smoking is permitted at any UCONN owned or controlled stadium or arena.
