2020 Season: Team captain. Started in all 13 games in shortened season due Covid-19. Hit .222 and tied for the team lead with two home runs. Also scored seven runs, added three doubles amd one triple while slugging .467. Threw out six from behind the plate with five caught stealing and one pick off. Went 2-3 with an RBI double and two-run homer to clinch series win vs. No. 1 Michigan (2/23). Registered a multi-hit effort at New Orleans (2/28). In final game of the season, helped beat Hartford (3/10) with an RBI single and three-run homer.Â
2019 Summer Ball: Played for the Bourne Braves in the Cape Cod Baseball League and the New Bedford Bay Sox in the New England Collegiate Baseball League. Played seven games for the Braves as a temp player to start the summer. Went 3-16 with a pair of doubles and RBI. Played 23 games for New Bedford, hit .296 with five doubles, one homer, eight RBIs and five stolen bases.
2019 Season: Played in 35 games and made 27 starts as catcher and designated hitter in first season at UConn. Was a clutch performer for the Huskies, hitting .282 with nine doubles, four home runs, 13 RBIs and scored 16 runs. All-Tournament team in the NCAA Oklahoma City Regional. Came off the bench and hit a go-ahead home run to beat No. 4 Louisville (2/15). Went 2-5 with a go-ahead home run in the 12th inning at Texas State (3/9). Collected a pair of hits and two RBIs vs. Michigan State (3/16). Contributed two hits, two RBIs and scored two runs in a win vs. Hartford (3/26). Came off the bench and hit a home run vs. Memphis (4/13). Returned to his old team, Tulane, and went 4-12 (.333 AVG) with three doubles, two RBIs in a series win against the Green Wave. Went 2-3 with a home run and double vs. Houston in American Athletic Conference Championship. Notched a pair of hits against Nebraska (5/31) and Harvard (6/1) in NCAA Oklahoma City Regional.
2018 Summer: Played 11 games for the Danbury Westerners in the NECBL before finishing the summer with 17 games for the Worcester Bravehearts in the Futures Collegiate Baseball League… Hit .340 in 13 regular season games with 16 hits, seven doubles, one triple, seven RBIs… Went 2-4 with a pair of doubles and RBIs at Brockton (July 26)… 2-4 with a double at Nashua (Aug. 2)… Hit a home run in Game 1 of the Futures League Championship Series.
2018 Season: Sat out due to NCAA transfer rules, was previously at Tulane University.
Prior to UConn: Played at Tulane for his freshman season...Appeared in 44 games with 40 starts, all at catcher…Batted .224 with 10 runs, 30 hits, two doubles, one home runs, 13 RBI, and six walks…Notched a .261 on-base percentage and .261 slugging percentage…Recorded seven multi-hit games and two multi-RBI games…Recorded his first hit and run vs. San Diego (3/10)…In his third game, tallied two hits, a RBI and a double vs. San Diego (3/11)…Recorded three hits with a run and an RBI vs. Columbia (3/18)…Tallied two hits, a run and an RBI vs. USF (3/31)…Notched two hits, an RBI, and the only stolen base of the season vs. UCONN (4/13)…Tallied two hits and two RBI at East Carolina (4/28)…Launched a home run vs. Houston (5/12)…Recorded two RBI at Memphis (5/18)…Was a member of the Tulane Athletics 3.0 Club for Fall 2016 and was a 2016-17 American Athletic Conference All-Academic Team member.
High School: A four-year letterman at Mark T. Sheehan High School playing for Matt Altieri…Split time between catcher and third base for the Titans…Team captain his sophomore, junior and senior seasons…Led his team the state title in 2015 and was named MVP…Also helped the Titans advance to the semi-finals as a senior, hitting .393 with 12 doubles and a homer…Received All-State honors his junior and senior years as well as being named to the All-Southern Connecticut Conference Team on two occasions…Was a Varsity Scholar All-Academic SCC All-Star for three years…Lettered twice in hockey…Scored 30 goals, added 48 assists during hockey career.
