Transfer from the University of Maine

Before UConn: Earned Second Team All-America East honors during his freshman year at Maine. Named to the America East All-Rookie Team. Hit .342 with four home runs and drove in 18.

High School: Attened Coventry High School, where he played shortstop. He hit .430 with a .531 OBP his senior year. He drove in 24 runs, scored 34 runs and had a .952 fielding %. He helped lead his team to State Championship during his high school career. He was named to the All-State Team twice and All-Conference Team three times.
