Cody Swanson begins his second season with the UConn football program in 2025. Swanson was elevated to assistant strength and conditioning coach in the spring of 2025.
Swanson came to Storrs in May of 2024 as the program’s strength and conditioning intern. Last season he assisted with the implementation of the strength and conditioning program as well with all administrative aspects of the program. He assisted with daily field set up and breakdown, as well as weight room and cardio room maintenance. He also assisted on the design and implementation of programs for non-travel in-season lifts as well as pregame warm-up.
He spent the spring of 2024 working with the University of Mississippi football program as a strength and conditioning intern.Â
Swanson graduated from Mississippi State in 2023 with a bachelor of education in kinesiology with an emphasis in clinical exercise physiology. He ws an SEC Academic honor roll student-athlete for the Bulldogs while also completing a strength and conditioning and physical therapy internships.
