Andrew Bertz begins his second season on the UConn football staff in 2025, serving as the team's director of recruiting.
Bertz joined the Huskies for the 2024 season after the 2023 season as the director of player personnel at Princeton University where he managed the evaluation process for the area and position coaches, utilized various recruiting services and coordinated all unofficial visits. He spent the 2022 season at Lehigh University in the same role, managing all aspects of recruiting communications and also collaborated with the recruiting coordinator on all on-campus recruiting events.
Bertz began his career working for the football program at his alma mater, Temple University. While an undergrad, he served in a role as football recruiting and operations assistant. He spent the 2019 season as a football scouting intern.
He graduated in spring of 2020 with a degree in sport and recreation management and moved into a full-time role as Temple's football recruiting assistant and then the assistant director of player personnel.
He earned a master's degree sport management from West Virginia University in May of 2021.
