Daniel Mojica joined the UConn football staff as the assistant director of football operations the 2025 season. Mojica, a 2023 UConn graduate, brings five-years of experience at the FBS level, including bowl game experience, and two-years of FCS experience with him in his return to Storrs in his new role.
Mojica spent the 2024 season working as the assistant director of football operations at South Dakota State Unviersity where he assisted with the daily operations of the football program. He assisted with aspects of team travel, facility organization and daily team meals. He also assisted with on-campus recruiting initiatives. He was elevated to interim director of football operations in December of 2024, assisting the head coach with hiring processes of assistant coaches as well before returning to his alma mater in February.
As an undergraduate at UConn, Mojica worked with the football staff as an equipment manager as well as student coaching assistant and a student recruiting assistant. After graduation, he began his career as an offensive quality control assistant with the Fordham University football program. Mojica handled film breakdown and weekly opponent scouting among several game day and practice duties during the 2023 season.
He spent the spring of 2024 as the operations assistant with the Yale Univeristy football program. Mojica handled the day-to-day operations of the program including practice set-ups, recruiting visits and planning for football camps. He also worked as the intern and video coordinator.
Mojica earned his degree in sport management from UConn in 2023.
