Mannyย Hatzikostasย is in his seventhย year with UConn Athletics and entersย his thirdย year as Assistant Director of Communications. Heย servesย as the Sports Information Directorย for theย Men's Soccer, Women's Hockey, Softball, and Rowing programs.ย
Hatzikostas previously servedย as the Director ofย Operations and Assistant Director of Athletic Communications for the softball and men's soccerย programs from 2022-2024. In this role, he managedย teamย travel logistics, meal planning, program events, statistical operations, and the social media platformsย for both programs.ย
Hatzikostasย began his career withย UConnย Athletics in 2020 as theย Director of Soccer Operationsย for the men's soccer program, a role he held into 2022. He was responsible for coordinating team travelย logistics,ย internal ticket promotion, community outreach, fundraising events, and overseeing student managers. During his tenure, heย played a key roleย in drivingย ticket sales, promoting matches, and enhancing fan engagement. Under his leadership,ย UConnย rankedย No. 1 nationally in NCAA Division I men's soccer regular seasonย fan attendance in 2021, averaging 2,800 fans per game.ย
Hatzikostasย graduatedย fromย UConnย inย 2020 with a bachelor of science degree and earned his master'sย degree in Sport Management in 2022.
Hatzikostas grew up in Rocky Hill, Connecticut and graduated from Rocky Hill High School. He currently resides in Vernon, Connecticut with his wife Laura.ย
