Doug Walsh enters his first season as UConn track and fieldโs Director of Operations and Assistant Coach in 2026-27.
Walsh graduated from Bloomsburg University in 2024 with a bachelorโs degree in Business Management before earning his masterโs degree in Sport Management from UConn in 2026. A former decathlete, Walsh competed for three seasons at Bloomsburg before joining the Huskies as a student-athlete for the 2025-26 season.
During his time at Bloomsburg, Walsh set a program record in the heptathlon and was an NCAA provisional qualifier. He earned All-Region honors in the heptathlon, high jump and decathlon.
At UConn, Walsh was a member of the 2025-26 indoor and outdoor team championship squads and was a four-time BIG EAST scorer.
Walsh also served as a graduate student manager with the Huskies during the 2025-26 season, working primarily with the multis, throwers and pole vaulters.
