Jennifer Meredith enters her third season as an assistant coach with the UConn women's tennis program.
During her first season in 2014-15, she helped lead the Huskies to one of the best finishes in program history, recording a 15-9 record. The Huskies posted victories against Army, Cincinnati, and Eastern Carolina and tied their best postseason showing by reaching the quarterfinals of The American Women's Tennis Tournament.
An enthusiastic young coach, Meredith joined the Husky coaching staff just four years removed from playing at The University of Tennessee.
Meredith entered the collegiate coaching ranks for the first time with the Huskies after a standout playing career at Tennessee. She played for the Vols from 2007 through 2011 and captained the women's tennis program her junior and senior seasons. Over her career, she posted a 55-31 singles record and an 81-33 mark in doubles play. She was honored as the SEC Player of the Week three times during her career and also excelled in the classroom as a four-time All-SEC Honor Roll student-athlete.
She played a key roll in leading the Lady Volunteers to an NCAA Elite 8 appearance while her teams finished each season ranked in the top-15 nationally.
Meredith graduated in 2011 with a degree in sports management. Before coming to Connecticut, Meredith worked in various clubs throughout the country teaching lessons, working with cardio tennis, and helping coach some of the top juniors.
