As a Junior in 2016-17: Won the American Athletic Conference 500-yard and 1,650-yard freestyle titles….the 1,650 was in a conference record time…is the UConn school-record holder in the 500-yard (4:44.34 at the American), 1,000-yard and 1,650-yard freestyle (16:19.90 at the American)…is also a member of school record holding relays teams in the 400-yard freestyle and the 800-yard freestyle (7:17.70 at the American)…placed fourth in the American in the 400-yard IM…was named to the American Athletic Conference All-Academic Team.

Before UConn: Transfer from La Salle…was part of school record-breaking team in 800-meter free relay…was named Team Most Valuable Swimmer at La Salle in freshman and sophomore year…competed in the 800-meter freestyle at the Canadian Olympic trials in 2016…was a four-year honor student in French Immersion program at Sir Robert Borden High School.

Personal: Emma Victoria Smith…daughter of Andrew and Judy Smith..has two older brothers Alex and Patrick…allied health science major and is a Dean’s List student.
