At UConn: Had a strong finish to her sophomore campaign, placing fourth (17:01.63) in the finals of the 1650-yard freestyle at the Conference Meet… Also grabbed eighth-place honors in the finals of the 500-yard freestyle…Recorded a great mile time at the conference meet as a freshman, finishing in the top eight.
Achievements: Was a captain and MVP of her high school for two years... Member of the varsity team all four years... Made individual states all four years.
Personal: Born June 12, 1995... Daughter of Ken and Susan Faykes... Has one sister named Lauren (23)... Undecided Major.
Why UConn: When I came on the recruiting trip the team was very welcoming and I could see myself swimming for this team. I thought it was the perfect balance between academics and athletics for me."
