UConn Announces Football Series With NC State

STORRS, Conn. -- The University of Connecticut has reached an agreement with North Carolina State University for a home-and-home series in the sport of football, it was announced Wednesday.

The agreement calls for the Huskies to travel to Raleigh, NC for a contest on November 15, 2003. The second game of the series will take place on September 8, 2007, when the Wolfpack and the Huskies battle at Rentschler Stadium in East Hartford, CT.

UConn, under head coach Randy Edsall, will play its second season as a Division I-A independent in 2001, opening the season on September 1 at Virginia Tech.
