STORRS, CT – Former UConn Husky Christian Haynes heads to Super Bowl LX with the Seattle Seahawks this Sunday in Santa Clara, California.
Haynes is the 12th former Husky on a NFL team that reached the Super Bowl and first since Andrew Adams played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Super Bowl LV in 2021. Haynes was selected in the third round of the 2024 draft by Seattle and is in his second season with the Seahawks having appeared in 24 games. If the Seahawks win, Haynes will be the sixth Husky to win a Lombardi trophy.
During his UConn career, Haynes was the first Husky in the program's FBS era to garner All-American honors in two separate seasons. He closed his senior season being named to the Sporting News, AP and College Football News All-American teams. During his junior season, he was tabbed an All-American by the AP and Sporting News.
