Rahim Drafted By Los Angeles Galaxy

Rahim was an integral part of UConn’s 2000 NCAA Men’s Soccer National Championship team and picked up NCAA College Cup All-Tournament team honors along the way. A tri-captain, he started in all 25 games, scoring two goals and assisting on five others for nine points. He is eighth on the UConn all-time assists list with 27 and started in a total of 90 career games. He is a two-time finalist for the Hermann Trophy Award and repeated as a NSCAA/adidas Second Team All-American and a NSCAA New England Region First Team All-American. The senior was named the inaugural BIG EAST Midfielder of the Year in 2000 while picking up All-BIG EAST First Team accolades.
Rahim was recently named to Trinidad and Tobago’s initial 32-player roster for the final round of World Cup Qualifying in 2001 after participating in the first round a year ago. He is also a member of Trinidad’s U-23 National team.
