Connecticut To Host South Carolina in National Invitation Tournament

UConn will carry a 19-11 overall record into its NIT First Round matchup against the 15-14 Gamecocks.
The only previous meeting in the sport of men's basketball between UConn and South Carolina took place in the 1975 NIT where South Carolina posted a 71-61 First Round win over the Huskies in a game played at Madison Square Garden.
The winner of the Connecticut-South Carolina game will advance to an NIT Second Round game on Tuesday, March 20, at a site to be announced against the winner of an NIT First Round game between Detroit and Bradley.
Ticket information on the NIT First Round game between Connecticut and South Carolina will be announced Monday.
