UConn Signs Two in Early Signing Period

STORRS, CT (Jan. 15) - UConn women's tennis coach Glenn Marshall announced the signing of two high school players to National Letters of Intent during the early signing period. The signees are Christine Burek and Alison Adamski.
Burek was a four year varsity member of the Wheaton-Warrenville High School women's tennis team. She led the team to its first conference title in nine years, while being selected to both the all-conference and academic all-conference teams. Burek is also a nationally ranked player in the United States Tennis Association and has qualified and played on the Midwest Zonal Team every year since she was 12. This year, she also qualified and played in both the Super National Hard Court and Clay Championships and was seeded at the National Open.
Adamski is a four year member of The Mary Louis Academy High (TMLA) School tennis team. At TMLA she was a four time MVP and qualified for the New York High School Tennis Championships in 2001 and 2002. Adamski also helped lead TMLA to the 2002 Brooklyn/Queens Championship, while qualifying for the 2002 NY Empire State Games as the No. 1 singles player for New York City. Adamski is an honors student and is certified in CPR and First Aid.
