Huskies Finish Seventh at BIG EAST Championships

EAST MEADOW, NY (February 22) - The University of Connecticut Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Teams have both finished in seventh place at BIG EAST Championships.
Top finishes on the women's side for day three include Lindsay Hansen with a time of 16:50.68 in the 1650 yard freestyle for sixth place and Cathleen Novak swam the 200 yard backstroke to eighth place in a time of 2:01.10. The women's 400 yard freestyle relay team took eighth with a time of 3:28.29.
On the men's side, captain Marshal Livingstone finished fifth in the 100 yard freestyle for the best individual showing for the Huskies with a time of 44.81 seconds. William Monaghan claimed seventh in the 200 yard butterfly, swimming it in 1:50.78. The men's 400 yard freestyle relay team finished third at 3:01.68 to wrap up day three for the Huskies.
