Both teams were then held scoreless for the next 19:42, until Kelly Feeley (Collingswood, NJ) was fed an up field pass from Tammy Michel (Baldwinsville, NY) at the 3:24 mark. Michel then capped off the half’s scoring with 2:17 left on the clock, on a free position shot.

New Hampshire notched the next four goals, the first two in a time span of 12-second, and the second in a span of 16-seconds. Kelly Blaney nailed the first shot (17:18), and then Jesse Groszkowski brought the score within in two on the next two goals. At the 12:28 mark, Blaney scored on an assist from Blanchette, still keeping the score in favor of UConn, 6-5. Connecticut broke New Hampshire’s scoring run at the 7:06 mark of the half. Feeley passed the ball to Wehinger, who redirected the shot from the left side for the score. Heather Levins (East Northport, NY) ran in from the left side, scoring UConn’s eighth goal to the opposite side of the net. Lauri intercepted a New Hampshire run, bringing the ball back up the side for the goal at the 3:02 mark.
