ESPN Debuts "College Basketball GameDay"

ESPN will be broadcasting its FIRST-EVER “College Basketball Gameday” from inside Gampel Pavilion, LIVE, Saturday morning January 22nd at 11am.
• This is the basketball version of ESPN’s popular “College Football Gameday” that is shown live from a game site each week. Of all the schools in the country, ESPN chose UConn for its first-ever basketball show because we have the best fans!! Come join us and be part of this historic event.
• The hosts of ESPN College Basketball Gameday will be Rece Davis, Digger Phelps, Jay Bilas and Andy Katz.
• Even if you do not have tickets to the game that night, we encourage you to be with us for this live ESPN program.
• Everyone is encouraged to wear BLUE-AND-WHITE and bring the most creative signs and UConn Flags to the 11am ESPN College Basketball Gameday event.
• We want to pack Gampel Pavilion and show everyone why UConn fans are the best in the country.
• Later on that night your UConn Huskies Men’s Basketball Team will take on Pittsburgh at 9pm. Game announcers will be Brad Nessler and Dick Vitale.
General Public Information
• The general public will be allowed into Gampel Pavilion for “College Basketball Gameday” starting at 10am at the East and South Entrances Only.
• UConn Club members and season ticket holders who have a North or South Garage parking pass for the UConn/Pittsburgh game will receive complimentary parking for the 11 am ESPN College Gameday show by presenting their pass at the South Garage.
UConn Student Information.
• Students will use the North and East Entrances of Gampel.
• If you are in line and have a ticket for the game, you will be given a numbered wristband prior to the “College Basketball Gameday”Show.
• Having a wristband allows you to go in and enjoy the live show without losing your priority spot in line for the game that night.
• If you do not have a ticket for the game that night you are still welcomed to join your friends and enjoy the live show when we open the doors on Saturday morning.
• The LIVE show will begin Saturday at 11am inside of Gampel Pavilion; doors for students will open approximately 9:30 am at both the North and East Entrances.
• Once the show is over at Noon we encourage you to pack up all personal belongings and return them to your dorm room or home. If you have tickets to the Women’s Basketball game v. Seton Hall in Hartford that day you will still have the time to make the 2pm tip-off.
• Please remove all personal items by 5pm or they will be removed as part of the regular Gampel pre-game clean-up. The University will not be responsible for any personal items lost or damaged before, during, or after the 11am “College Basketball Gameday” show on Saturday.
• After the show, students who have been given a numbered wristband may either return to their place in line or leave and come back to Gampel. If you leave, you must be back in line (in wristband number order) at Gampel no later than 6:30pm.
• Doors will open at 7pm for those students with a numbered wristband.
• If you have a wristband and arrive to Gampel after 6:30pm, you have forfeited your priority in line. By not being in the proper line at the proper time, you shall than be treated as a regular student ticket holder and thus be admitted at 7:30pm.
