CPTV Announces 2006-07 UConn Women's Basketball Broadcast Schedule

HARTFORD, Conn. (October 30, 2006) - Another exciting season of University of Connecticut women's basketball on Connecticut Public Television (CPTV) is just around the corner with the release of the 2006-07 CPTV broadcast schedule.
This marks the 13th season that University of Connecticut women's basketball games have been televised by CPTV.
The 2006-07 regular-season CPTV television schedule begins on Monday, Nov. 13 at 7:00 p.m. when UConn plays host to the University of Richmond at the Hartford Civic Center.
CPTV is currently scheduled to air 23 games during the 2006-07 regular season of UConn Women's Basketball. Overall, the 2006-07 UConn women's basketball television package on CPTV includes 15 home games and eight road games.
Leadership funding for UConn Women's Basketball on CPTV is provided by Team Captain: AT&T Connecticut; and by Team Partners: The Phoenix Companies, Inc.; Big Y World Class Market; Yankee Gas Services Company; and People's Bank.
CPTV's talented UConn women's basketball broadcast team will be headed up again by veteran play-by-play announcer Bob Picozzi. Former UConn women's basketball standout and assistant coach Meghan Pattyson-Culmo will provide game analysis and sideline reporting.
CPTV will broadcast "The Geno Auriemma Show: You Make the Call," a special call-in show airing live on Tuesday, Nov. 7 from 8:00-9:00 p.m. University of Connecticut Women's Basketball Head Coach Geno Auriemma will talk about his team and share his thoughts on the upcoming season. This one-hour special will be recorded for re-broadcast on Friday, Nov. 10 at 9:30 p.m.
In addition, CPTV will feature Auriemma and host Meghan Pattyson-Culmo on "The Geno Auriemma Show," CPTV's popular studio program, in which viewers' questions are read and answered. This season, the program will air immediately before 11 CPTV's broadcasts of UConn Women's Basketball games.
