SIMPSONVILLE, Ky. (April 23, 2007)-- The University of Connecticut shot a team score of 297 Monday, an improvement of 14 shots from Sunday, and stands in a tie for eighth place after the second day of action at the 2007 BIG EAST Conference Men's Golf Championship at the Cardinal Club.
The Huskies improved on Sunday's score of 311 and passed two teams and caught another in posting a two-day total of 608 to tie for eighth with Georgetown. It was the best improvement of any team in the 12-team field.

UConn has five individuals competing in the championship, with the top four counting toward the team total each day. Senior Jason Parajeckas (Woburn, Mass) is the top Husky individual after two days, standing in a tie for 13th place overall at three-over (147).
