Ochoa Receives Atlantic Hockey Honor Roll Honors

WAKEFIELD, Mass. (November 25, 2008) - After a three-goal effort during the weekend of November 21 and 22 against RIT, junior Chris Ochoa (Santa Monica, Calif.) has received Atlantic Hockey Honor Roll honors. Ochoa who is tied for first on the team in point-getting with sophomore Andrew Olson has been on fire as of late scoring a goal in three straight games.
In the two game series against RIT, Ochoa scored three goals (two of the power play kind) on seven shots for a .429 shot percentage. He finished the weekend with a plus minus of +1. He currently has five helpers on the season to go with his five goals. He has been strong in Atlantic Hockey play scoring all of his goals and all but one of his assists during that time. He currently holds a +3 in Atlantic Hockey games tied for first on the team with sophomore Stevie Bergin.
Ochoa's goal during the first game of the series was the game-winner helping UConn to stop a six-game skid and win their third game of the season. He continued his offense into the second game scoring the first goal of the night for the Huskies. Ochoa would later add on a second goal which gave UConn the lead at the time of the goal.
