Football To Hold Open Practice For Fans On Saturday

STORRS, Conn. (August 16, 2008) - Saturday Morning Update: The weather looks good this Saturday morning and the University of Connecticut football open practice is on. The University of Connecticut football team will once again hold an open practice for its fans during preseason camp. UConn’s practice session on Saturday, August 16, will be held at Memorial Stadium in Storrs with all fans invited to watch the Huskies as they prepare to defend their 2007 BIG EAST Championship. Practice will begin at 9:30 a.m. and last until approximately 11:30 a.m. There is no admission charge and UConn’s student-athletes will be available for autographs as they leave Memorial Stadium.

The Huskies will open their 2008 season on Thursday night, August 28, when they play host to Hofstra at Rentschler Field.
