Eight Huskies Get NFL Call

STORRS, Conn. -
Before Saturday night, there had never been a University of Connecticut football player picked in the first two rounds of the National Football League Draft - now there are four.The four Huskies picked on the opening day of the 2009 Draft were the second-most of any school in the country - next to five by USC.
Yes, Saturday was another historic day in the history of the UConn football program.
The four Huskies taken were:
Donald Brown, first round, Indianapolis Colts
Darius Butler, second round, New England Patriots
William Beatty, second round, New York Giants
Cody Brown, second round, Arizona Cardinals

Following the completion of the NFL Draft on Sunday, four more Huskies were signed to Free Agent Contracts:
Dahna Deleston - Chicago Bears
Keith Gray - Carolina Panthers
Tyler Lorenzen - Jacksonville Jaguars
Julius Williams - Jacksonville Jaguars
