CLEARWATER, Fla. - The University of Connecticut baseball semifinal game of the 2009 BIG EAST Baseball Championship on Saturday, May 23 at Bright House Field in Clearwater, Fla. has been moved to a 1:05 p.m. first pitch and will be aired live on ESPNU.
The Huskies will face off with the winner of the South Florida/West Virginia game, being played on Friday night.
UConn enters with a 35-23 overall record after defeating both South Florida and West Virginia this past week in tournament play.
Dave Armstrong will call the play by play, while Kyle Peterson will be the analyst in Saturday's contest. Prior to the Florida weather interupting the BIG EAST tournament timetable, ESPNU was scheduled to air the 2009 BIG EAST Baseball Championship game on Saturday afternoon but due to the rescheduling of games, the Huskies' third match-up of the week falls into the ESPNU time slot.
The semifinal round will be played in its entirety on Saturday as top-seeded Louisville will meet No. 4 seed Notre Dame at 9:00 a.m.
Should either Notre Dame or the USF/West Virginia winner win their respective semifinal games, additional games would be played at 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. as both Louisville and Connecticut are unbeaten in the double-elimination bracket as of competition through Friday.
The championship game of the tournament will be played on Sunday, May 23. The time of that game will be determined on Saturday.
