MASON, OH - The UConn baseball team (32-26) had its 2026 season come to an end with a 5-1 loss against Xavier (28-28) in game one of a doubleheader, followed by a 7-4 loss in the night cap against Creighton (30-25) at Prasco Park.
The UConn offense combined for just eight hits in the doubleheader with Jackson Marshall delivering a pair of doubles in game one and a double in game two. Marshall finishes the 2026 season with a 47-game reach base streak.
Rob Rispoli hit his third home run of the year against the Bluejays, a two run shot, and totaled four RBI in the losing effort. Greg Shaw III pitched 4.2 innings out of the UConn bullpen in game two.
Charlie West pitched 5.2 innings in the opener while Austin Trumpour pitched 2.0 shutout innings out of the bullpen.Â
