The Donald “Dee” & Ginny Rowe UConn Athletic Lifetime Giving Society

To recognize our most generous and dedicated donors, UConn Athletics established the Donald “Dee” and Ginny Rowe Athletic Lifetime Giving Society. The Rowe Society honors donors who have given more than $1 million in lifetime support to the UConn Division of Athletics.

Donald “Dee” Rowe became part of the UConn community in 1969 as head coach of the men’s basketball team. He was twice named New England Coach of the Year. In 1978, he founded the Athletic Development Fund, helping grow the program from the ground up to $2 million by the time he retired in 1990-91. Dee remained a dedicated ambassador for UConn Athletics and the entire UConn community until his passing in 2021.
