Huskies Ranked No. 15 in Soccer Times Preseason Poll

STORRS, Conn. - The University of Connecticut men's soccer has been ranked No. 15 on the 2009 Soccer Times Preseason Poll, as announced Thursday. The Huskies, who open the 2009 season with an exhibition game on Saturday, Aug. 22 against Hartwick, are looking forward to their upcoming season as they have been selected in the top-20 in three highly esteemed Division I men's soccer national polls. Soccer America's Preseason Poll is expected to come out on Tuesday, Aug. 25.

UConn earned its 700th program win back on Nov. 22, 2008 with an NCAA Tournament victory over Virginia and finished the season ranked No. 16 in Soccer Times' final poll of the year.

The Huskies take on the Hartwick Hawks on Saturday night in their first exhibition of the season. Massachusetts will also face the Huskies in exhibition play at Morrone Stadium on Saturday, Aug. 29 at 7:00 p.m.
