- Today's game against Rhode Island was the 1000th game played in UConn Football History. The Huskies are 468-494-38 overall since the program began in 1896.
- UConn has faced Rhode Island more than any other opponent in UConn football history. After the win, the Huskies lead the series 51-35-8.
- Rhode Island is the first FCS team that the Huskies have defeated twice since joining the FBS in 2002. UConn remains undefeated, a perfect 8-0, against FCS teams. Overall the Huskies have won the eight games by a combined score of 384-65.
- This is the first time the Huskies have defeated a team by more than 30 points since they beat Virginia 45-10 on September 13, 2008. It is the first time the Huskies have scored 50 points since they defeated Rhode Island 52-7 on August 31, 2006.
- The 42-point margin of victory is the fourth largest in UConn FBS history tying the 63-21 victory over Kent State on November 9, 2002.
- The Huskies are two-for-two at the Rent in the coin toss this season.
- Andre Dixon's touchdown off of the Huskies' opening drive was the first time the Huskies have recorded a touchdown on the opening drive this season. They are 2-for-4 in scoring during opening drives as Dave Teggart knocked in a 39-yard field goal last week at Baylor (Sept. 19).
- The 18-yard touchdown pass in the opening drive was a milestone for Cody Endres as it was his first career touchdown pass in a Husky uniform. Andre Dixon, who was on the receiving end of the pass, recorded only his second career touchdown reception.
- Robert McClain's two interceptions, both coming in the first quarter of the game, tie his career high for interceptions in a game which was recorded against Cincinnati last season on Oct. 25, 2008. He has already tied his season high of three interceptions recorded in both 2007 and 2008.
- This game marks the first time in Jordan Todman's career that he has recorded multiple touchdowns in a game. With three touchdowns scored today, Todman tied the number of touchdowns he recorded during his entire rookie campaign.
- This is the second-straight game that the Huskies have had a running back score three touchdowns in a game.
- The 66-yard pass completed from Chris Paul-Etienne to Bynum with 4:18 remaining in the first was the longest pass completed and reception for both players on the year.
- In their first two games of the season, Rhode Island's offensive line only allowed one sack which ranked them seventh in the NCAA and second in the Colonial Athletic Association in fewest sacks allowed. Today, the Huskies took down the URI quarterback Paul-Etienne three times.
- The 17-point lead entering halftime is the largest lead that UConn has had entering the half this season.
- The Huskies have not allowed a fourth-down try this season in three chances. UConn stopped Rhode Island twice today also shutting down Ohio University in game one.
- The connection between Endres and Mike Lang in the third quarter set some personal records. The 50-yard pass was the longest pass and touchdown pass of Endres' career and the TD was the first of Lang's collegiate career.
- Endres broke a lot of personal records today against Rhode Island. He set new career highs in pass completions (23), passing yards (289), longest pass (50), and threw for his first touchdown in a Husky uniform.
- His completion percentage of 76.7 percent (23-20) ranks fourth best on the UConn Single Game Best Completion Percentage List tying Matt DeGennaro who also went 23-30 against Richmond in 1990.
- The 289 yards thrown by Endres today is the most a UConn quarterback has thrown since Tyler Lorenzen threw for 298 yards against Duke on September 1, 2007.
- Michael Smith also set some new career highs with his eight receptions for 82 yards.
- Johnny McEntee made his first appearance on the gridiron for the Huskies in the fourth quarter of the game.
- Frey recorded the longest rush of his career scoring a 54-yard rushing touchdown with 2:20 remaining in the fourth to give the Huskies a 52-10 lead.
