Edsall Honored By King Holiday Commission

HARTFORD, Conn. - University of Connecticut head football coach Randy Edsall was honored with the "Leadership Award" on Monday as the 24th Annual National Liberty Bell Celebration sponsored by the Connecticut Martin Luther King, Jr., Holiday Commission.
The commission was formed in 1986 to ensure that the commemoration of Dr. King's birthplace is meaningful of the spirit with which he lived and the struggles for which he died.
Also honored at the event were My Sister's Place of Hartford with the "Community Service Award" and Dr. James Lewis III of Hamden with the "Humanitarian Award".
The keynote speaker for the event was Rev. Dr. Theodore Brooks of New Haven.
