Baseball, Softball And Lacrosse On Cox This Spring

STORRS, Conn. - Four University of Connecticut sporting events will be televised by Cox Sports Television this spring as part of the ongoing partnership between Cox and UConn that began three years ago.
The three events will be: UConn vs. Syracuse women's lacrosse, UConn vs. Bryant baseball and softball doubleheaders between the Huskies and Seton Hall and Providence.
The women's lacrosse game was played on Friday, April 9 and will be shown on Cox on Wednesday, April 14 at 8:00 p.m. The Providence softball doubleheader will be played on Wednesday, April 21 and will be shown on Cox on Thursday, April 22 at 7:00 p.m. The baseball game will be played on Tuesday, April 27 and will be shown on Friday, April 30 at 7:00 p.m. . The Seton Hall softball doubleheader will be played on Wednesday, April 28 and will be shown on Saturday, May 1, at 7:00 p.m.
Cox Sports Television is a regional sports network based out of Lincoln, R.I., and services Cox cable television systems in 19 Connecticut cities and towns and the state of Rhode Island. The Connecticut cities and towns serviced by Cox include: Cheshire, East Granby, East Windsor, Enfield, Glastonbury, Granby, Hartland, Manchester, Meriden, Newington, Rocky Hill, Somers, Southington, South Windsor, Suffield, Wethersfield, Windsor Locks and Union.
Scott Cordischi, a veteran Rhode Island sports announcer, did play-by-play for the women's lacrosse game while former Husky player Tori Joel provided color. Wayne Norman of WILI-AM Radio in Willimantic and the WTIC-UConn Radio Network will do play-by-play for the baseball and Seton Hall softball games. Former Husky Ericka Nole-Brayton, a member of UConn's 1993 College World Series team, will do color for the Seton Hall doubleheader.
