Baseball Remains Nationally Ranked

STORRS, Conn. - The University of Connecticut baseball team remains ranked this week in Baseball America, Collegiate Baseball News, Rivals.com, USA TODAY/ESPN Coaches' Poll and The Ping!baseball.com Top-30 poll.
The Huskies are ranked as the No. 20 team in the nation, according to Baseball America, keeping the same spot they held last week. One of the most prominent polls, the USA TODAY/ESPN Coaches' Poll has the Huskies at No. 21 for the second straight week.
Collegiate Baseball News ranks the Huskies as the No. 16 team in the nation, dropping the Huskies three spots from 13th, where they stood in last week's rankings.
The Rivals.com Top-25 Poll currently has UConn at No. 21 as the Huskies stayed in the same position they were in last week (No. 21). The Ping!baseball.com Top-30 rankings have UConn at No. 29 this week as well, dropping the Huskies from the 24th spot they held last week.
In the Northeast, UConn is ranked No. 1 by the New England Division I College Baseball (NEIBA) Coaches' Poll, while Ping!Baseball.com has the Huskies regionally ranked as the No. 1 team in the Northeast.
UConn is currently 35-9 overall and 14-3 in the BIG EAST in 2010 as the Huskies will host Cincinnati in a three-game conference series this weekend, beginning with a Saturday double-header at noon at J.O. Christian Field in Storrs, Conn.
