Brad Olt Signs Professional Contract in Germany

STORRS, Conn. - Former UConn baseball player Brad Olt has signed a professional baseball contract with the Bad Homburg Hornets in Bundesliga, Germany, near Frankfurt. The Hornets compete at the highest division of professional baseball in Germany.
Olt played for the Huskies during the 2007-08 seasons after transferring from UConn Avery Point. At Avery Point, Olt led his team to the NJCAA Division II New England Championship both years and was named the All-New England Defensive Player of the Year as a catcher in 2006.
At UConn in 2007-08, Olt played in 53 games, registering 30 hits, 11 doubles and 27 RBI for the Huskies.
Following his career at UConn, Olt assisted Coach Roger Bidwell at UConn Avery Point.
