White Starts New Year in Seattle

SEATTLE, Wash. - Former UConn men's soccer standout O'Brian White has been featured in an article written by Matt Gaschk from the Seattle Sounders FC.

White, who played for UConn from 2005-08, was drafted by Toronto FC as the fourth overall pick in the 2009 MLS SuperDraft.
While at UConn, he recorded 46 goals and 23 assists in his four-year career. He was named BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Year twice and earned the M.A.C. Hermann Trophy for his efforts in 2007 as he led the country in goals with 23. He was also an NSCAA/adidas All-American multiple years and a four-time First Team All-Northeast team member.
White joins Seattle for the upcoming season after a two-year stint with Toronto.
