Women's Cross Country Competes In Bryant Invitational

SMITHFIELD, R.I. - UConn women's cross country competed in the Bryant Invitational here on Saturday morning with seven Huskies running and junior Jeanne Theleen(Southbury, Conn.) finishing as the Husky's top runner.
Head Coach Andrea Grove-McDonoughdid not have the top seven finishers of last week's first place finish at the CCSU Blue Devil Invite run in Saturday's non-scoring meet.
Theleen finished 22nd out of 96 with a 19:18.89 time, while sophomore Cassandra Goutos(Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) was not far behind with a 19:25.80 coming in 24th.
Along with Theleen and Goutos, Kimberly Moran took the 30th seat with a 19:42.43 before sophomore Cassondra Hunter (Preston, Conn.) came in 37th (20:00.91) and grad student Maureen Stringham(Hockessin, Delaware) in the 46th spot (20:19.64).
Freshman Terra Briody (Ridgefield, Conn.) and senior Christine Vogel(Glastonbury, Conn.) rounded out the Husky competitors by placing 52nd (20:30.21) and 53rd (20:30.47), respectively.
Uconn will travel to Minneapolis, Minn. on Saturday, September 24, to compete in the Roy Griak Invitational at the Les Bolstad Golf Course.
