Huskies Set For Hokie Classic

STORRS, Conn. - The University of Connecticut volleyball team will participate in its final early-season tournament this weekend, as the Huskies travel to Blacksburg, Va. to take part in the Hokie Classic. The Hokie Classic, which is hosted by Virginia Tech, will feature UT-Chattanooga, Virginia, UConn and the host Hokies.

UConn's Weekend Schedule:

Friday, September 16: vs. UT-Chattanooga - 4:00 p.m.
Saturday, September 17: vs. Virginia - 1:00 p.m.
Saturday, September 17: at Virginia Tech - 7:00 p.m.

Last weekend, head coach Holly Strauss-O'Brien earned her 100^th career victory, as the Huskies swept UNH in the Holly Young Invitational finale. Mattison Quayle (Los Angeles, Calif.) and Angela Roidt (McFarland, Wis.) each earned a spot on the All-Tournament Team, as they led UConn to a 2-1 record over the weekend. The Huskies enter the Hokie Classic with a 6-4 record, and are currently eighth in the BIG EAST after the first three weeks of action.
