Baseball Home Opener: Tomorrow vs. Yale at 3:00

STORRS, Conn. - UConn returns to the Northeast, following a seven-game, coast-to-coast road trip, for its home opener against intrastate rival Yale at 3:00 pm on J.O. Christian Field.
About the Huskies...
Scouting the Bulldogs... Yale enters with an overall record of 4-10-1 after dropping three of four to Stony Brook over the weekend. Sophomore shortstop Cale Hansen is the lone Bulldog hitter above .300 at .380. At first base, sophomore Kevin Fortunato has hit Yale's lone homerun of the season and has driven in a team-high 10 runs, while batting .259. Junior LHP Christopher O'Hare has made three starts on the season, owning a 1-1 record and 6.35 ERA in 11.1 innings pitched. As a team, the Bulldogs are hitting .233 and have been outscored 109-49 in 15 games.
Last Time They Met... Yale tallied five runs in the seventh and five more in the eighth to come back from a 7-0 deficit on April 12 of last season. In the seventh, the Bulldogs scored five runs on four hits, the biggest of which was a three-run homer by Andrew Kolmar. Fortunato pitched the eighth and took the win, while Stephen Catalina took the loss for UConn. Tim Martin hit the first homerun of his career and Fuller went 2-for-3.
