Ferriter Named BIG EAST Baseball Player of the Week

Ferriter batted .524 (12-11) this week, including .750 (9-12) in a three-game conference series against Seton Hall. He totaled seven runs, five RBI and four stolen bases. Ferriter connected for a season-high four hits in five at-bats in the series opener against SHU and finished the doubleheader 7-9 at the plate. He also recorded a double in each of the three games against the Pirates.
Ferriter became the third Husky to receive a major weekly award from the conference after Brian Ward was named Pitcher of the Week (February 20) and LJ Mazzilli was named Player of the Week (March 12).
