Huskies Host BIG EAST Home Opener On Friday

STORRS, Conn.- The University of Connecticut softball team opens its conference home slate on Friday, April 6 when they welcome Villanova (25-9, 0-3 BE) for a three-game series. Friday's game will be begin at 4 p.m., while Saturday will feature a doubleheader starting at noon.
The Huskies hold a 14-14 overall mark on the season with their last victory coming at home against a strong UMass squad. Connecticut is riding a four-game win streak at Burrill Family Field as they have posted a perfect record in Storrs thus far.
UConn looks to rebound in BIG EAST action following being swept by the Fighting Irish in South Bend, Ind. The Huskies are 3-3 in conference play after concluding a three-game sweep at Seton Hall in their BIG EAST opening weekend.
